As a little girl I always dreamed of traveling the world. I would, and still, think about how people around the world live their daily lives. Where they like to go, what they wear and eat, and how they get to place to place. As an adult, I am even more curious about people. I am especially curious about how culture affects the way we look at the world. How culture shapes our perspectives.
I know you are curious too. Don’t you just love that we can get to know each other, and the world, through blogging and social media? We can begin to see the world through each other’s perspectives and challenge ideas we’ve held for so long. Ideas change us. They help us learn and evolve.
Now as an adult, I am so grateful for the ability to travel. I become much more observant of the world around me. More present.
I am excited to share with you all some of my photos from Tokyo. It’s a spectacular city. It is indeed the largest city in the world, but it didn’t feel like it! It’s so organized and clean that you feel like you can breathe. There are also so many temples and shrines that ease the tension of city life. It’s hands down one of the quietest cities I’ve ever been in. Well done, Tokyo!
