Thinking Clearly: a Reflection and Introspection

Olivia reporting from Europe! Travel is a great way to reflect on your life and goals. I have felt super connected and aware these past few days.

Every New Year year it’s nice to reflect on the previous. I’m a big goal planner and list maker. I remember since I was a little girl my mom sitting me down with a paper and pen and we would write a list of the things I was proud of and the things I wanted to accomplish for the upcoming year. Thanks to her, I cannot start a new year without doing it!

I wanted to share with you a top 5 list (in no particular order) of my favorite things of 2013, lessons learned in 2013 and goals for 2014. I, of course, have a lot more than these. :)

I hope you had a great start to your New Year thus far.

5  things I loved about 2013

#1. Made the big move back to Providence.

#2. Started Winter Moon

#3. Adopted a dog!

#4. Changed my diet to Paleo

#5. My trip to NYC with Friends.

5 Lesson’s Learned in 2013

#1. Traveling does not cure your desire of travel. It enhances it.

#2. Friends can become your family.

#3. Being honest with yourself and others is scary at first but it leads to a happier life.

#4. Fashion and style is a form of communication. It’s also a good way to get to know yourself.

#5. Finding out what you love to do, and doing it, leads to confidence and fearlessness.

5  Goals for 2014

#1. Write and continue to pursue creative endeavors. It’s leading me back to my true self.

#2. TRAVEL (for business & pleasure)

#3. Pursue an exercise routine… consistently. (This also includes increasing water intake and outdoor activity).

#4. Continue to explore the community of incredibly talented people in Providence.

#5. Remind myself of my blessings and how lucky I am to be alive. Life is beautiful, but really short!
